Book me to speak or give a workshop!
I can design something new for you or run an existing workshop. I primarily speak about trauma recovery, relationships, and boundaries, but I have also spoken about personal finance, careers, and body image issues.
How to Level Up After Trauma – 4 hours
Presenting at Midwinter Gaming Convention, January 2020 – Milwaukee, WI
Grab your dice, because we’re role playing our way to healthier coping skills. In this world, we wield weapons like books, healthy boundaries, creativity, and self-care against the triggers and traumas that leave us at a disadvantage in our daily lives. This workshop is by a traumatized geek, for traumatized geeks.
Level Up leans on explanations of abuse, trauma, and triggers in the context of tabletop gaming. Participants will complete a character sheet to contextualize their coping skills and potential triggers. Overall, the workshop involves discussion of boundaries, healthy and unhealthy relationship patterns, expressing (and asking for) love in healthy ways, and overall trauma recovery tools.
Ages 18+ as the workshop will involve discussion and people may share their own stories of trauma. Workshop game play or role playing will not involve discussion of sexual assault unless all participants consent to the topic.
How to Ask for the Love You Deserve – 1 hour

How to Ask for the Love You Deserve is a one hour workshop about love languages and healthy boundaries in relationships. Participants will leave with a better understanding of how to communicate their desired love languages to friends and partners — without guilt or fear.
Know Your Worth at Work – 1-2 hours
This presentation will address the ways in which professionals, particularly women and marginalized individuals, can take control of their presence in the workplace from the time they apply for the job through negotiations and in day to day situations in the workplace. In this workshop, participants will learn about professional gaslighting and how to advocate for yourself with confidence from the application process to every single meeting when a random guy repeats the exact same thing you just said.
