welcome.
This blog was where I first found my writing voice. I have since lost touch with it, but I’m on my way back.
When I started it, I was getting divorced and getting rid of a bunch of stuff, and I found this wild new yonder called minimalism. It made me feel better about starting fresh, being frugal, and figuring out adult life on my own.
Several years later, I went viral. Then I wrote a book. Then I started a business, and a podcast. The more I put myself in front of other people (marketing, writing, speaking), the more I lost touch with my actual voice as I created a mask that would please everyone and keep me safe.
But you can’t please everyone.
Trying to please everyone ends up disappointing you, because you’re the only person it’s safe to let down.
My spirit is tired of that. She said I can’t do it anymore and I have to be myself again.
So I’ve dusted off the blog, paid my $29 for a year of hosting, and I’ll be chronicling my adventure back to myself here.
PS. I’m a maximalist now.
